LA Cleantech Incubator

The Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) is a non-profit organization in alliance with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) striving to create a more inclusive and green economy.

In 2010, The Southern California Institute of Architecture and The Architect’s Newspaper launched the Los Angeles Cleantech Corridor and Green District Competition. The competition invited architects and urban planners from all levels to present concepts for a green development zone on the eastern edge of downtown LA which would be known as the Cleantech Corridor.

LADWP was a sponsor of this project, and my client, Stephen Hargett, remembered being awed by the results of this competition. The Cleantech Corridor was never built but provided inspiration for the wall decal I was tasked to make for the La Kretz Innovation Campus where LACI resides. It is a vision of the future that LACI aims to build.
